Based on the beautiful poem "O Golden Day! O Silver Night!" by Richard le Gallienne, this is a wonderful song that paints many pictures of nature (the sea, stars, the morning and afternoon skies) along with an amazing narrative message that is supported by the music that starts in the morning and builds to a climactic key change before dwindling down underneath the midnight sky.
